This is how using Comet feels at the moment. I don't really trust it to update things as it often gets them wrong. So if you are watching it so closely is it really saving time ...

Becareful cutting and pasting in another window when Comet is posting stuff for you in another window, shared clipboard and all that. Lesson learned!

After years and years of paying for PyCharm Professional for personal projects I've decided to let the sub lapse. I've been using Cursor and VSCode more recently and can't justify the cost any more. It is like giving up old slippers though!

I am starting to think the argument about which coding assistant is better is the wrong one.

A useful use case I've found for Perplexity Comet is getting the address from estate agent listing and popping open a google map (or at least linking it). You can also get it to work out how close to transport links properties are.

I'm not sure the hype around the Nano Banana is deserved. I asked it to edit a raw image. The original image was a watch and what came back was the RAF roundels. Well the image extension was .RAF ... sometimes AI just makes me laugh.

Seems the network switch in my home office did not appreciate the heat yesterday.
Amazon delivered a replacement before 8 this morning though so back up and running. Going to try the manufacturer RMA process too...
