On a Fountain Pen Enthusiasts group, I read that people recommend a little bit of plasticine to hold the bottle in place as you refill a cartouche.

It works really well!

So, after thinking and thinking and thinking about it (and finding metal shavings in our greens...) we decided to splurge on really good herb grinders. After a lot of research, the spouse found the Flower Mill.

They can grind up to 3.5g; inside is all stainless steel; various options for coarseness

Most of my life, I have been terrible at taking care of plants.

Since hitting my forties, things have changed! I am finally feeling more witchy.
Small planters brought in from a balcony garden. From top to bottom, left to right: scraggly sad kale; sadder kale: 4 leaves of a cabbage grown from a grocery store cabbage. Second row: even more sad smoll kale (I am a miniaturist); sad, over watered chard; a forest of parsley and some small strands of ghosts of onions past; another forest of parsley pair planted with a tomato plant that teased me with flower buds until I betrayed her and forgot to water her whereupon the flowers wilted and died. Last row: a bunch of succulents that are growing and attempted to be propagated; two baby snake plants I'm trying to ready for Christmas presents and a malabar spinach plant that seeds and seeds and seeds, so I tried planting seeds and those little peepers are in the square planter.

How Becka's Bake Shop ended up.

Mods include polymer clay items (croissants, brownies, bread, cookies and macarons) made to 1:20 scale; new labels for all food stuffs using Puffberry Demo font and images by Freepik on Flaticon. I also used leftover pots and plants from previous kits.

Ink and notebooks. It's a good day
Four ink bottles with 10ml of ink are lined up. Colours are Poussière de lune (purple), Gris nuage (grey), vert de gris (green), and ancre de rouille (pink). Now in colour
The Cat Tree and a few possible Cat Distribution Systems in block colours. Above the tree are two clouds (one with a UWU face and one that maybe is too stuffed), with a monocled mustachioed tophat-ed crescent moon between them. The tree has nine cats, all (mis)behaving in a variety of ways. Under the tree, there are a number of rings in Burgundy and pink, a bottle of dusty rose pink and an abstract shape with olive polka dots. There are four point stars, and a ring of mushrooms on a grassy knoll, as well as a large spotted cat behind a small pile of burgundy coloured round fruit. Behind the cat is a star bush (a bush with stars), a be-ringed planet with two five point stars erupting from it. There are two large leaves framing the piece.

I'm going for a slightly creepy-Ghibli aesthetic
A 1:12 scale witch hut. Hanging from the ceiling, there are bunches of pale plants, a purple lightbulb, a gilded frame that has darkened with age, and a bell near the stairs that will become the entrance. The sharp eyed will spot a witch and a bat silhouette in the skylight behind the purple ceiling lamp. On the floor, several planters are filled with earth. Some have fantastic flowers or tall grasses, one has a toadstool, two await their plants. Shelves and an apothecary cupboard crowd the space. Potions can be seen on various shelves, while a display case is turned around. In the display case, there are five potions in red, salmon, turquoise, indigo and purple. On the shelf beneath the potions, there are various books with brown covers. One is open to handwritten pages. The apothecary cupboard serves as repose for a tired mandrake, a yellow pipe with suspicious herbage, a cardinal (the red Bird) and we can spy a potion bottles with a pair of eyes and having orange mouth. To the left, near a large window we can spot cake, but it may be a falsehood.

I was trying to keep it simple. Really I was.

But.... Can you really have a llama without flowers and tassles?
A bookend made from wood is cut in a cartoony llama shape. The base has been covered in dried moss and paper flowers. The llama has two flowers on each ear, a necklace of flowers. All flowers are in shades from yellow to orange. The llama also has a blanket on its back in blue, yellow and green, with various dots, lines and circles as motifs. The desk itself is messy. A circular from Canadian Tire is painted over and paper cut from the flower shapes are strewn all over it. Nail scissors peek from behind the llama (don't look at it funny or it will cut you!). On the left hand side, beads in blue, yellow and green are miraculously staying still.

In an attempt to see if it's only the people in my house who don't notice things, I will be adding this little dood at my friend's house (in her bedroom!) when I go over in November.

Bet is: she'll notice the day I put it there
A wood book end die-cut in the shape of a llama. The animal has so much fluff, it is positively overwhelming the face that usually sticks out in llamas. Llama in question has a little blue, green and yellow rug on it with a few different patter a. The llama itself is a beige with yellow tint, while a few accents show up in a grayish tone, despite having been brown when initially applied. There's moss to take the place of grass at the base of the wooden book end. The reverse of the llama has a calligraphy phrase that reads "No prob-llama"
