I used to dislike Risa and Riku, but that was only me being a stupid teen, because now I like them a lot. I never fully warmed up to Dark though, I mean, I don’t dislike him, but he’s not the most interesting character. Hiwatari used to be my favorite and I really like Towa and the other artworks.

The art is really pretty, too!

The writing was really good and made me want to read more by Katie Kitamura. I don’t really like when books are written in first person, but in this one, I didn’t mind anymore very quickly. So yeah, definitely liked it and I understand why so many have thought it would win the Booker prize.
