Ojcowski National Park. A small national park in Poland, not far from Krakow. This rock is located just in front of a passage between two huge rocks called Krakow Gates.

I have two redwoods here in my woodland in France. They must be about fifty years old and are suffering from the climate. Too wet in winter, not enough altitude, and the summer has been very dry. Every day I pray that they will live much longer than me...

And it reminds me of the years when I used to drive on rutted laterite tracks that were more slippery than ice, sometimes getting stuck in red mud up to the axle, just for the fun of getting out. Alone. Without internet or phone service, a four-hour walk from the nearest house...

Yeah, it's nice. But the only way we have to heat an old house with no insulation. And it quickly becomes a chore.
