Hassett never used the word 'average'.
December 1, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Hassett never said "gas was below $2 for an entire state". He just said "gas prices got below $2 in some states". That is technically a correct statement. Some stations in Ohio are selling gas below $2. Not many, but a few.

Depends on how you interpret the meaning of "a lot". Some people might think 5 places is a lot more than 1 place. There is no definitive numerical meaning of "a lot".

I don't agree that any normal person thinks that "a few states got below $2" means the average price is below $2.

You obviously don't understand how politicians think. They always exaggerate. Happens once means everywhere. A 1.5% win in a political race is a 'landslide'.

Well you don't know for certain what they paid for their gasoline supply per gallon. And maybe they are selling for a loss over the Thanksgiving weekend. GasBuddy is pretty reliable and almost real time ... www.gasbuddy.com/gasprices/ohio

It could just be a Thanksgiving week sale at a few stations. Who knows what the price will be in a week. But probably not lower than $2.

Not how I parse what he said. He said for a few states the price dropped below $2. He did not say the average price or the maximum price. Just that the price was below $2 in a few states. That is undeniably true. Like it or not.

It's the guns. Add the per capita gun possession and you will see the correlation.

Yeah well that won't happen until there is a democrat as speaker of the house, likely in 2027, but who know may happen in 2026 if enough republicans decide to bail early. But conviction in the senate is a whole other matter...

The US Government has no say on the status of other countries sovereign airspace. Trump is just spewing meaningless garbage.

Unless you have interviewed him personally you have no reason to know why he went to DC. You are just guessing.

Yeah well whenever I hear about robberies and murders and rapes and beatings and other crimes on the news, it is 99% of the time done by someone local to the area.

But again, why travel 3000 miles to enact a killing?
Certainly lots of targets in the state of Washington.
The travel aspect makes no sense.
Unless it wasn't PTSD and was a targeted killing.

So why travel 3000 miles to enact revenge? Seems illogical.

There is something more to this story. Something fishy.

Or healthy people get into accidents. Very serious accidents. Happens all the time. You don't just need medical care for illness. Shit happens.
