I see a big opportunity after the AI crash. Buy up the data centers at a discount, sell the hardware to China, sell the building as warehouse space (or add windows and use for housing), fill the land with solar/turbines, and use the high capacity grid connection to distribute power

A Theory Gone Flat
A lesson for me is that these people pay too much attention to their brain chatter and not enough to the actual universe full of sunsets and stars. We could all learn from this: consult the actual uni...

Many people feel overwhelmed with the number of potential climate solutions, and are not quite sure what to focus on.

@projectdrawdown.bsky.social has always been at helping people navigate the minefield.

Their new explorer is really cool, and helps to make things clearer: drawdown.org/explorer

I've been assuming that military actions in major cities were another one of Trump's outrages, horrifying but random

But what if Trump et al are preparing for civil unrest over an event we don't expect

I think trans rights are a canary issue, anyone willing to capitulate rightward shows they are willing to capitulate in other areas too. Also, it shows their willingness to align with a party narrative, instead of a dedication to human rights. Trans rights was the first scapegoat after the 2024

It just occurred to me that the whole "first they came for the [fill in the blank]" logic of "eventually they will come for you" kinda sucks. Defend that first group because it's the right thing to do, not because your ass is eventually going to be on the line

Studies like this one :

are simply mind boggling.

Study after study shows that red states, especially in the deep South, have dramatically lower life expectancies than blue states
