I get so pissed off by that 45-47 on the cap. It implies 45, 46, and 47; eliminating Biden’s time in office.

I’ve gone through a similar experience, although I didn’t need stitches. Just a suggestion, record your BP every day until your appointment, so your doctor has a good representation of it.

You’re why I moved to become an Independent. I understand how voting works and I understand how elected officials work to hold power and keep new people out. Just look at how many voters get no say in presidential primaries.

Here’s my problem with your negativism. I worked in govt for 36 yrs and the statement that makes me crazy, still, is “…but we’ve always done it this way.” Face it, you want the status quo, but with a D majority. The Ds don’t have the capacity to be cutthroat like the Rs, so you’ll keep losing.

The change I want, and it applies to both chambers, is an age limit on comm. chairs and leadership positions. I don’t believe in term limit; this would be the best way to move 80-yr olds on their way. Without chair power, they’d leave elected office. I don’t agree Ds can’t change caucus rules.

The only good thing this nightmare will provide is an opportunity to change the rules. They’re supposed to represent the people of their state, not to enrich themselves. Rules can be changed. They haven’t been because the senators protect themselves, not their constituents.

Please consider that these D senators voted to make Schumer their leader again, when he’d been useless for years. To me, they’re all complicit in D failures. It’s time to consider skill, not seniority.

I don’t think polling supports that it’s popular. The Ds need to develop policies and effective communications of them. People are suffering and want policies that support them and not the super rich. The “We aren’t the Republicans” doesn’t sell to middle America.

Tell me how, specifically, you remove any of them right now. Demanding impeachment without explaining how it’s accomplished at this moment in time is rather useless.

They’re not in control of the House/Senate. Again, conducting proper oversight hearings bringing forward all their abuses is how you change the minds of the electorate.

I agree they oppose impeaching Trump. I disagree that they oppose holding impeachment of lower level members of his administration and the judiciary.

Get control of Congress, then impeach cabinet officers and members of the judiciary. Even just oversight hearings bringing forward all the government abuses ahead of 2028 will keep it front and center. I just don’t see enough votes in the Senate to get trump.

I am so sick of talk show hosts and others in the media saying “we’re not there yet.” It seems a ranking JAG lawyer thought we were there and DOJ overrode him. WE ARE THERE!

Focus on the midterms by focusing on policies that will help those in desperate need. Talk of impeachment is a nonstarter unless the Ds take the senate by a wide margin. Ds need to figure out how to govern after this nightmare.

It’s interesting that their show of terror to cow people into submission has the opposite effect. Arrest two women for horn honking and they create even more resistors.
