... Or an invalidation of what's come before. John's reaction to and judgement toward his copy could only happen by acknowledging and respecting what came before in these books. Give him a bit of time to rationalize with these new changes in his life. He's only human 😊💚

The John we've been following the past few years has made some complex, and questionable decisions, and when Jeremy and I started GLC, we leaned into that even more. What you see on the page is a man with a gap in his knowledge, judging himself, but that is in no way a retcon...

The magic of comics is that everything that came before is free game to push along further if you want to, and that's what I'm doing with John. I could've ignored War Journal and Thorne's run, but where's the fun in that? That stuff is all inspiration.
