If you draw, paint, game, embroider, 3d print? Do those, too. Because art makes the world worth being in.

Comic dystopian fantasy, I should have said. Jasper Fforde's stories are very silly. Chromatacia is an alternate future UK where social rank is determined by ability to perceive color, a society built around Munsell's color system. Absurdly silly in places but sometimes a bit dark. Very good imo.

Sort of? I suppose it's a dystopian fantasy but that label seems inadequate too. His books are mostly comic fantasy. Shades of Grey: the Road to High Saffron came out years ago, but he put off completing that series to crank out a few more Thursday Next books because they sold better, I assume.

Red Side Story by Jasper Fforde. Waited impatiently for years for this book! I had nearly given up hope that his first Chromatacia novel would ever get a sequel.
