Originally i was gonna use the fortnite save the world video to also talk about how i feel BR's massive success pushed the industry in a direction where a lot of games are just forever games that print money until the end of time but at this point i might just make that its own topic one day

Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.
tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

i emphatically reject the idea that Arc Raiders' use of AI voices is 'ethical' because an actor got paid because it relies on an unrealistic view of the world where VAs aren't underpaid, overworked and underappreciated.

i get why this is common consensus but ppl being like "the steam controller is kinda ugly but the functionality is great!" makes me shake my head. i think it looks beautiful. shes so unique and tall. the thumbsticks look shiny gorgeous. the slight rotation on the trackpads is so playful.
