My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

The next year will be spent picking up any and all WB movies that I’ve been contemplating buying or need to preserve.

Once again, I am so glad I own physical copies of so many Looney Tunes shorts.

The characters that have worked best so far are minor ones, mostly from the ‘underworld’ (Valance immediately springs to mind).

So, I could see other bounty hunters or scoundrels.

Possibly someone like Dash Rendar, Xizor or Kyle Katarn.
Discussion: Which Legends characters could you see realistically coming back into NuCanon in some form?

While millions of families struggle to put food on the table Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos & Mark Zuckerberg own more wealth than the bottom HALF of Americans.

That’s what oligarchy is about. That’s what a rigged economy is about.

Is it any wonder that people in this country are angry?

December is my annual complete Star Wars score playlist listen (over 80hrs worth). I’m up to the Bad Batch and all I can think is: I miss Omega and her brothers.

Sure, they've made an environmentally catastrophic mass hallucination disinformation plagiarism Clippy that will destabilize the world, but also their other goal is to replace human workers entirely and let us humans starve. A boycott of AI is the most important boycott of your entire life.
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

Yeah, this is the one of these things that my particular zodiac sign will basically only bring up bummer and/or inappropriately glib gifs…it being the same as a disease that kills millions every year.
Type in your zodiac into gif and see what comes up! Post your fav one!
(I only did it because I knew what would actually come up...)

I am entirely obsessed with this Olaf, I want to meet him and I want to give him a warm hug.
❄️ And yes, we also got to meet Olaf - THE Olaf. Look at him mincing away from Anna and Elsa ☺️

A long winding road of watching the Lion King & wanting to make animated movies, only to compromise in graphic design. Bouncing around charities, ethical businesses & local gov picking up writing, media & animation skills while trying to do work that makes a positive difference to the world.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Atlantis the Lost Empire is a greatly underrated gem of a movie that pushed Disney storytelling and has some of Disney’s most beautiful production design and animation.

It’s such a unique movie. Love it.

I don’t understand the live action remake of Moana.

I can mentally justify doing the remake thing of older movies modernising outdated elements and values keeping them relevant.

Seen a whole bunch of people complaining about the Toy Story 5 teaser trailer, stating ‘how is Woody back in Bonny’s room?’ and the usual breaks canon.

Here’s the answer, this is a teaser trailer. None of it will appear in the movie.

I always see the Toy Story series as a metaphor for work:
- 1 is the new hot shot joining the firm
- 2 is that promotion offer and you’re not sure if you want to join the executive class
- 3 is the opportunity to work at a new startup
- 4 is retirement and your life after

If there’re three things that’re universally true of ALL rich executives in the 21st Century, it’s that:

- they’re deeply greedy
- they’re deeply arrogant
- they’re incredibly disconnected from reality
If GenAI was truly “inevitable” and “the future,” you wouldn’t have rich executives putting out statements like this again and again. They know how unpopular it is (even as they’re ignorant of it crumbling around them), and keep trying to browbeat us into accepting it. They won’t succeed.
