We also achieved our key objective of getting a full seat on the Galactic Council and won a key military victory to secure our first interstellar colony, mainly because I noticed that we could outproduce/build our enemy.

As it happened, our military commander was called away for a personal emergency so I the rest of the team decided to assign me that role too, c/w beret-wearing (UN gear attracted a lot of positive comment!), I suspect, because our turn phases were adjacent so it saved a walk to the main table!

These weren't too bad but they were rather preoccupied with pecking away at everything we'd turned over!
