Cold hard truth: nothing they are doing is new, it's just that now it's not happening exclusively to Black people so it seems "unAmerican" to everyone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Seriously, why do foreign leaders keep coming here? Every country around the world needs to take this time to disentangle themselves from the United States. why are they engaging with this man?! And leaders representing Black and other Nonwhite countries especially, pleasssse.
Here's Trump spraying Al-Sharaa with his cologne, asking him how many wives he has..at the Oval Office.

Published, naturally, by the Syria team.

If Senate Democrats don’t start the process to remove Chuck Schumer by the end of the week, all these Senators talking about how opposed they are about this week’s capitulation is all performative bullshit.

Someone suggested that he/they may have stolen the SNAP funds and I didn’t think of this because while I know they are robbing the people and country blind, I‘ve pictured this type of fraud and corruption as something we’d find out when he/they are finally run out of office.

The guy at the yarn shop is taking 100 years to wind each hank of yarn and there are approximately 200 people in front of me with approximately 100 hanks each. I will be waiting for my yarn into the afterlife. Also it is like 100° in the store. 😩 #knitsky

This. As I said earlier, the people need to see it, read it, all of it. It is beyond unfortunate but it is truth.
When you push people into hardship, you push them into activism. Keep it up, GOP…between SNAP and driving up the cost of everything, you’re radicalizing a voting bloc you’ll never control.

So to cap their horrible week, Senate Republicans refused a deal to reopen the government in exchange for just helping people with health insurance and now the president wants the Supreme Court to say he doesn’t have to obey the law and feed the hungry.

Amazing.

Never forget
The Supreme Court granted the Trump administration’s emergency appeal to temporarily block a court order to fully fund SNAP food aid payments.

Appealing paying SNAP benefits is wild work & what everyone needs to see. They‘re shooting themselves in the foot & baby, we love to see it. Also important to pay attention to the responses of people around you so you know who to publicly shame before cutting them out of your life completely.

I am usually stocked w/ingredients for whatever I need or want to make. Give thanks. But I'm back to the quarantine move of blanching & freezing veg from the farmer's market wherever possible. I'm sure so many folks are doing the same. I'm so very grateful even with the layoff to have all I need.

I've been planning to begin baking again after seeing that the prices for boule-type breads, baguettes, etc. have gone up about $2-$3 in the last month regardless of size. They are buggin at the store, which makes the SNAP thing even more horrendous.

Today I made the most beautiful and delicious loaf of whole wheat sandwich bread. It is the first whole wheat loaf that I've made that I feel is just perfect.

No it’s important to listen to this. Because then you understand that many of them will do ANYTHING to keep power. Remember Musk got involved in the 2024 election after saying to Tucker “if she wins” I am definitely going to prison.

So we need to move knowing that nothing is off the table for them.
Steve Bannon: If we lose the midterms and we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison, myself included.

And Pelosi, I got distracted reading a newspaper article this morning and I finally return to it this evening only to find out that she's not actually sitting her old, insider trading ass down until 2027. Like please, I thought she was hanging it up ...now.

I refuse to retwe… wait what do we call that here?!! Anyway, I refuse to reshare that Atlantic article about Jike Mohnson, but that’s little doodle of him in the tub w/the shower cap has me giggling.
