From the book I always thought the Derry Darkness was just a way of showing us how kids are able to cut past the bullshit facade we put on for them/to reflect that Pennywise is very much at home in a society tainted by so much human cruelty.

I know Matt Smith wasn’t the best choice for OG Bateman but I always liked his drawl when he sings. Think it works way better than the overstuffed vibrato they’re going for on this one
