Does anyone else besides me think it's really odd that someone would drive thousands of miles away over a period of few days to kill a member of the National Guard, or anyone in the military, instead of other places where the NG is being deployed that are a helluvalot closer, like LA or Portland.

It's definitely odd that if you really wanna kill a Nation Guardsman, or anyone in the military, there are places where they're being deployed that are a hell of a lot closer to where he lives, like LA or Portland, than going 1000s of miles away to do the same thing. That kind of doesn't make sense.
