He learns to talk to elephants with a hand-made flute and uses a tubby man's tummy as a trampoline to clear a fifteen-foot wall. Also defeats a tiger with his bare hands in a palanquin. Good times!

Which facts? Withdrawing HMS Endurance? Sinking the Belgrano? 264 British veterans of the conflict taking their own lives? The war was a bad thing (wars are bad) and Thatcher’s government bears some of the blame. Which isn’t to justify the Argentine generals, who were orders of magnitude worse.

The fuss about the (temporary) environmental impact of trenching one offshore wind cable through the area has been considerably greater than that (if any) about losing the whole thing.
