Dallas Brodie and her hateful rhetoric have got to go. Imagine hating on the very people you claim to represent in government and creating an entire political party around it! Despicable.

3/3 Indigenous Veterans continue to fight for recognition and justice. Today, we honour them and thank them for their service. ❤️

Some were not even allowed to lay wreaths at official ceremonies. These injustices are part of the broader legacy of colonialism and must be remembered alongside their service. Let us commit not only to remembrance, but to justice.

Nov 8th is National Indigenous Veterans Day.

Despite their bravery, many Indigenous veterans returned home to systemic discrimination. They were denied the same benefits as non-Indigenous soldiers, excluded from veterans’ programs, & in many cases, lost their Indian status due to enlistment. 1/3

Its pro-saviour propaganda. As a newborn interracial adoptee, I did not "fare well" mentally, and rejected Christianity at adolescence.

Actually, familial cultural connection is a protective factor for FNMI #SixtiesScoop adoptees: fpcfr.com/index.php/FP...

Lots more where that came from. 🥚
Couple days late but still valid 🥚
No funding for First Nations education, Jordan's Principle, emergency response, or Inuit child first initiative beyond 2026 is more than just alarming, it's callous. Punishing children is not the way to balance a budget
The Carney government announced its first federal budget for Canada, but didn’t include much in terms of Indigenous priorities.

ICYMI - It's been a year since Hon. Murray Sinclair (Mazina Giizhik ~ One Who Speaks of Pictures in the Sky) passed. May his legacy live on. #RIP
First Nations still talk about the Harper era as a difficult time. Cuts to FNs deepen the economic divide and bypass UNDRIP.

"This decision places the burden of austerity directly on First Nations peoples, while sparing the rest of the Canadian population."
You failed to mention that Indigenous people are shouldering 20% of your austerity budget cuts.

This is #apartheid in Canada.

Following in your father's footsteps, as predicted.
Carney government cuts unfairly hit First Nations
Budget cuts to Indigenous services violate equality rights and risk legal, moral, and financial consequences.

Maternal separation isn’t any less traumatic just because you know you’re adopted and grow up with a photo of your mom at your bedside. The profound feelings of rejection and loss are not eased by the love of the adults in your life.

Meanwhile, in Manitoba…

At least one premier has a grasp of just how serious using the notwithstanding clause is…

And is taking steps to ensure that at least one province doesn’t use it before hearing from the courts.

Auditor General Karen Hogan says the government's record on water was the most disappointing failure she found in her audit.

An NDP private member’s bill would require airlines to pay flight attendants for all hours worked before and after takeoff. The unpaid-work issue was at the heart of a three-day strike that disrupted Canadian air travel this summer.
