Our backyard weather station in Burnaby, BC measured 76 mm of rain in 24 hours on August 15, 2025. The rain event started at midnight and this reading was at 11:30pm the same day. #bcstorm #metrotown #burnaby

I just got the preprint of @jgcanada.bsky.social's upcoming book "Burst Your Bubble! Outsmart the Algorithms and See What You’re Missing." I highly recommend you pre-order your own copy (and I'm not just saying that because I tech-reviewed it)!

Prompt: "Create a new Canadian ketchup flavour."
Response: A merging of two different bottles.
Reason: AI systems know nothing of the real world.

During a demo yesterday, an AI system generated an image like this, and the crowd laughed. It took me 2 minutes to reproduce in ChatGPT.

I remain convinced the fragile narcissist in the White House intends for the world to end with him.

Take care of one another my friends. We're in for a very rough ride, courtesy of the American Kakistocracy and the lemming army that elected it.

Get solar panels for your house. It's April in Vancouver, Canada, and our house already produces way more electricity than we are spending, even with charging our EV at home every night.

We got our 8-year-old son Leo a metal detector. This weekend he found a huge ring with the logo from the Smilin' Buddha Cabaret on a beach on Bowen Island. Now we are all curious about the backstory: Who made it? Who lost it? Do they want it back? Why is it so huge? #vancouver #yvr #detectorist

X is now state media; the propaganda arm of the Trump Regime:

US Social Security Administration cutting 90% of staff, moving all public communication to X.

Public communication restricted to a private platform used to spread disinformation and far-right propaganda.
