Is $30 way too much for the sort of thing I do? Or do you think I could ask for even more? Does that price seem about right? Also sorry if Bluesky cronched on the image's quality again. No one ever responded to my query about what I should do about that, so it may be expected in the future.

Painting I made for additional reference for a table design I've yet to redraw. Since my mother's idea was for me to design it but for it to be a mosaiic (which neither of us really know how to do, or how when or where to create the bits and pieces needed for such a thing) It'll probably never be finished. A woman against a background of waves and greenery with a seashell behind her. Her appearance was simultaneously inspired by the artwork of Paul Gauguin as well as by the painting "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli.

Painting of the protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (Persona 1, Megami Ibunroku Persona, Revelations Persona, Persona Revelations) commonly known as Naoya Toudou. This was made as a test of both protagonist design in my style, as well as accompanying textures and speech balloon design for future fancomic adaptations. Persona 1's colour scheme is primarily purple, magenta, grey, black and bronze/gold. The Working titles for this comic are currently "A Butterfly's Revelation" "Butterfly Revelations" and "True Minds" but none quite feel great, lol.

Since I seem historically bad at this, maybe I should ask, what do you think my art is worth? Note this is not including specific stuff like comics, thumbnails, character sprites etc. Just regular art.

I need to face facts that there are way more important things going on for people, that no one has the money for it and that if they did there are way better artists out there who are more deserving of it than me. I need to be humble and accept things as they are. Be thankful for what I have.

Not sure what any of this would mean for me style wise though. Also doesnt mean I'm not going to keep working on my own things or posting them. Just means I need to quit trying to get commissions no one wants. I might try again with a comics only commission sheet later when I have comic samples. IDK

I guess maybe If no one responds, I wont outright change anything, but I'll probably just remove my commissions sheet from my page. If anyone asks, they ask. If not then, well its the result expected.

I want to try not to be pessimistic, but I have to think on a professional level like that. It sucks, especially when it seems I never get many responses. But would lying to myself, getting my hopes up only to feel bad later be a preferred outcome?

When publishers for comics or other illustration reject you, most of the time they dont outright reject you with an actual message. They usually just dont respond at all. You wait a while see what they have to say about your submission, and then when they dont respond it means you were rejected.

Getting used to very few or no responses means having to prepare an interpretation of that non response in advance, because otherwise asking was pointless since I never got an answer. And really from no response all I can think is that its a negative response.
