I keep writing books because I have things I’m passionate about and want to share. I hope over time this body of work cumulatively might translate to a steadier source of income. But you can’t count on it. I wouldn’t be able to do any of it without my day job.

Rarely do publishers offer any financial help for travel costs. I’ve never seen any. So I have to pay all expenses for every conference I hope to present at to promote books.

Publishing doesn’t really pencil out to making a living. I support myself with my tattooing work.
