Now that's fun marketing

Come on Google. I haven't seen it, but I'm pretty confident there's a better follow-up to that movie.

I think there should be a word for this, if the Germans don't have one already.

You see a trailer for a film that sparks your interest. Not an obsessive one, but you want to see, and only have a vague idea that its coming out soon.

Then, out of the blue, it skips theaters and shows up streaming..

Of all the little simple pleasures that come with collecting vinyl, I think my favorite is the pre-order. Especially those that are on long enough of a time frame that I totally forget about it. And even more especially when they sign it.

So, I've seen at least 3 movies in the past year that would have been much better if the marketing didn't ruin what could have been awesome surprises or twists. Abigail could easily have been promoted as a crime/action, and the horror element would have come from deep left field.

Random thought experiment.

What if Flash Gordon and Shaft swapped theme songs?

I happened across an article that called this free demo very Bioshockish. I had to check it out and so far agree. Completely different setting, but same vibe.

Creepy abandoned amusement park setting.

It's called Twisted Tower, not sure when the full game is out, but the demo is free.

I might have gone a little overboard with screens around my surgery recovery nest.

Not pictured: The fourth little screen I'm using at the moment.

Idea for a new game show for the future. It's going to require the invention of time travel.

It's a historical based trivia game, and the game is played on location and in the time of focus.

The losers get left behind.

It'll be called "Doomed to Repeat"

So, as a fan of pun humor, I have a great fondness when a statement sounds like vernacular, but is 100% literally correct.

This time somehow, not so much

My ass is having surgery tomorrow

Little things that make me happy.

I don't remember where or how I learned it, but I'm glad I did, what I learned to know as Final Fantasy 2 on SNES is actually Final Fantasy 4 in the real layout of the games. Next I will buy the real Final Fantasy 2 and have nostalgia and unfamiliar going on.

I love the reoccurring stories of where and on what people have gotten Doom to run.

I'm not sure I can be surprised by where it turns up anymore, unless tech develops to where they start putting playable tattoos of it on folks.

Little things that make me happy.

I found this relic and it runs. There's no audio, and I doubt I'll go through the trouble finding out why and what I can do about it. This is before the click right button to move a unit thing so it's annoyingly tedious to play,

Random useless info:

It's not THE most remade film of all time, but one of them. Richard Pryor's Brewster's Millions from 1985 is one of 13 versions of that story on film. I think a modern remake would kind of suck. Between eBay and Crypto, he could make that money gone in less than 10 days.

Appreciating the little things.

A remastered StarCraft that works proper on modern computer.

This makes me happier than it should. This is one of the OG games of this style that got me hooked on them. Preceded by WarCraft of course, and will never forget (Reporting..Acknowledged) Dune II.

Ah, the little things that make me happy. This is the desktop of the gaming computer i've thought about for years and finally have. This is the first time I've had my whole steam library (minus hidden games i'll never play) set up and ready to go on one computer.
