this choice is perhaps the best illustration of it bc it's essentially asking you to say who the Culprit is, and it's the very first question they ask you. all the evidence discussion comes after instead of building up to it. n all three of these are shown in the evidence so it's not that obvious

as a genuine strong positive, the gameplay of examining evidence items with lab tools is very fun. immediately this has me more intrigued than the story text did. they also let you finish investigating even if you miss important info so being thorough here is the focal point of the experience

these two character designs are really the thing that pulled me in. there's like 3 other love interests but i'm not feeling them yet-- character designs are pretty downplayed and unexaggerated so they will need to prove themselves on the field of Plot and Events

Giselle: "I-I-- I didn't actually mean that! I was just, you know, a little overwhelmed at the time! About how unexpectedly handsome you were! But I couldn't bring myself to say it!" Morgana: "............................. I hope you two sickening lovebirds spontaneously combust..." Morgana: "Anyway. While those are the core aspects of your character, they got buried over the course of the abuse and misfortune you suffered throughout the story. Your circumstances in life forced you to repress yourself, and once you were free from those restrictions in the final chapter, you were able to act as the man you truly are. Or something to that effect." Michel: "I'd say... it was Giselle's influence more than anything that got me through the final chapter. Like I said in the game, I couldn't have done it on my own." Giselle: "Hehe... I'm glad I could be of assistance." Morgana: "(I really need to peel these two apart. We'll never finish if they keep making goo-goo eyes at each other every ten seconds...)" Michel: "Regardless, I can't say I'm completely satisfied, but I'm happy enough my story was adequately explained in the game itself." Morgana: "I'm genuinely impressed you can be "happy" about any of your story, considering the kind of hell you were put through. There were how many dead ends? And you took quite the beating, on more than one occasion. ... A lot of that does fall on my head, I suppose." Michel: "................. The ending was perfect, though. So yes, I'm happy." Morgana: "Please, for the love of all that's holy, stop smiling." Morgana: "I'm going to bring Michel with me-- and only Michel." Giselle: "Aww! What about me?!" Morgana: "Because with you around, he turns into a lovesick, airheaded dope. He's about as useful to me as a wet paper sack full of potatoes."
