I do love his story from shooting Suspiria that he had to keep his script within eyesight while shooting the big monologue because it was just too much to memorize. And then of course he was redubbed by other actors in every language version 😂

Genuinely makes me wish Ken Burns would do a "Civil War : Revisited" with the historians they had in the American Revolution series.

Reminds me of that CSI episode which turned out to be a prologue / commercial for the creator's unrelated (to CSI) novel, that after buying it also made you visit a website to view video clips to get extra information not present in the novel

Reading the article it sounds like a surprisingly lazy project too; they've seemingly taken this old audiobook, split it up into episodes and added some "host" segments from a Fox & Friends personality

Yeah I have no idea, it's weird that there's no obvious product or company it's advertising and no one has seemingly claimed it.

So this isn't subtitled, but the "joke" is that the police commissioner character is saying a racist slur for Japanese people, and it makes the supercar shut off. And our protagonist, of African descent, says "ninja" and the car turns back on. This was the top grossing movie in France in 2000. So, 🤷

Yeah, French comedy definitely has a tendency to lean far into "uncomfortable" territory and making fun of minorities, disabled people, etc, definitely stuck around there way longer than here so I imagine the director just brought that with her

Has anyone confirmed who paid to have this installed? I've seen some speculation that it's a "parody" / AI art protest but I can't tell that anyone has identified who actually commissioned it in the first place and what their goal was

My son, when he was a baby, never slept a full night in his crib. We could get him to sleep in the crib but he would always be up by midnight and the only way he ever slept a whole night was in bed with us. Sometimes you just have to go with what works.
