As for other stories:
Darius and Marionette are planning a heist. Phones to hack, identities to steal… it’s a goldmine.

Xiel likes to observe a good mortal shindig.

Lahayne loves the chance to dress up, usually in a disguise. She just usually hates the people she’d have to talk to.

Ash loves fancy parties. Free food and all the pockets you can pick.

Ginra enjoys dressing up, so Shogum is willing to do the same.

Maxi hates them despite being the only one who would actually be invited. But they wouldn’t mind arranging one.

In his mind, it's a combination of professional pride (nobody saw me) and safety (cops go harder on killers). In the situations he does kill in the story, there's no remorse, but those are outside of his work and defending himself. But he's also not nearly as hardened as he tries to sell himself as.

I can just post a snippet from the WIP on Ash's opinion on violence as a thief:

"In my line of work, there are 3 kinds of people who regularly kill on the job; cowards, sadists and fuck-ups. None of them last long."

He's done it before, he will in the story, but he sees it as a mark of failure.

This is why I’m glad I’m low enough on the ladder that I don’t have to review anything. It’d drive me insane.

There was also never any mention that using it was mandatory. The presentation had a vibe of “look, I know a lot of you think this is neat, the higher ups certainly do, and maybe it can do some forms… but c’mon guys…”

He doesn't mind the comparison at all. Clever enough to always be a problem.

The other two are more difficult. Maxi would pick something mythical with ties to magic. At least one of the four should have something mystical. Maybe a phoenix.

Shogum's an ox. Big, strong, stubborn, and not as aggressive as a bull. Maybe a non-aggressive sort of bear.
