Ha, they're cute 'lil salamanders that hide under rocks in creeks and streams in the Ohio River Valley, and need extremely clean environs to survive. They're really hard to find; I consider them good luck.

I have that happen sometimes; I stop and ask myself if they would also make a glib joke about where they’re from, and odds are they would lol

I understand that feeling, ha. I tried for a long time, then realized I was going to end up teaching my kids it was okay to let people treat them that way, too. Makes it easier to accept that it needed to be done, but it still sucks.

I couldn't keep my temper and did a pretty hard break about two years ago. Not sure if it was the right or wrong thing to do, but I do know it was necessary for my mental health.

I did too, and that’s also been one of the biggest splashes of cold water to the face. It all does seem to come down to education, and I don’t mean school - the more you’re taught to hate something, while denied all the details about it, the harder it is to think for yourself, I guess

Yesterday online I saw the old fella who taught my gun safety class when I was a kid, and his wife, who used to help us with 4H bake sales, with a cardboard cut-out of Trump, all smiles and big thumbs up. I angry-cried over it… It felt like something happy from my childhood was spoiled.
