Check out this amazing special issue. The editorial from Joe Heitman nicely sets the scene and there are some spectacular reviews from many mycologists. I am glad to have been part of this, including in the 'MyShroom' section! #Fungi

Technical assistant in soil ecology 80-100% (f/m/d)
You will participate in a research project on soil biodiversity in forest sites of the Swiss National Forest Inventory. You will carry out laboratory work (measurements of abiotic soil properties) and organize and archive soil samples. You will collect, document and manage data and metadata of soil chemical and soil biological parameters and help with processing of amplicon sequencing data.
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, environmental, natural or soil sciences with a focus on microbiology and/or ecology. You have experience with general biological and biogeochemical laboratory procedures. You are comfortable with curating and managing datasets and samples. Experience with bioinformatic analysis of next-generation sequencing data is a plus.
