Each is a seemingly small act such as a mosquito bite.
One bite is annoying but manageable…dozens of bites every day becomes overwhelming & drive you to distraction.
One day a seemingly minor thoughtless remark will push one over the edge.

Wash items in sink.
Squeeze as much water out as poss by hand.
Lay items in single layer on hand towel
Roll up
Wring out
Unroll and items will almost dry.
Hang out and all should be dry in the morning.
Other than that my advice as a European is layers and a rain jacket.
