In science this week, we made rain gauges. We worked with our partner to measure cm intervals on our bottles, cut the top off and inserted it into the body like a funnel. Next we used cellotape to secure the top to the rest of the bottle and secured them to the fence. Now we wait for some rain!

On Wednesday, Cameron from YMI taught us how to play the glockenspiel. We will be practising a very well known Christmas song with him for another two weeks. We are already sounding amazing.🎼

Odd Socks Day marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week. Odd Socks Day 2025 is taking place on Monday 10th November. Children can wear odd socks to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! There is no cost to take part in this.

We were set a challenge! To design and create a boat using specific materials which would float and carry a cargo of 100g.
Today we started the design process with our shoulder partners and can’t wait to create and test them.

We learned why some objects float or sink and about “The Archimedes Principle”.
We chose some classroom objects, predicted what they would do and recorded our outcomes.

Today we were scientists again. Don’t we look amazing! We tried to replicate The Water Cycle and what happens to clouds when they get too heavy. Please ask us about this experiment. We really enjoyed finding out what happened. 💗
