I think this is true for a portion of his base, but not all of them. Pizzagate was real to them, and I think being a pedophile will be a bridge too far for a lot of them. Every bit of erosion helps us, so I don't want to write this off as unhelpful.

If I wasn’t boycotting Target already, this would absolutely inspire me to do so. Do not talk to me, Target employee! I am here to wander with my thoughts and look at useless items I will never actually buy.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.

This is a reasonable position for sure. It’s also not what they are saying.

Grijalva is the 218th vote. This theory is nonsense, best I can tell. Happy to be proven wrong.
November 8, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Put another way, this seat was ALREADY voting no, and Grijalva’s vote would give the yes votes a simple majority. If Van Epps wins and also votes no, nothing changes.

This is only true if Mark Green was voting to release the files, which he wasn’t. The house is 435 people regardless. If Van Epps wins, it doesn’t go to 436.

And also, shame on @thetnholler.bsky.social for promoting this “theory” uncritically and using it for sensationalist content (a “gotcha” interview of Van Epps at BNA). Van Epps was too stupid to understand it was a nonsense line of attack, but the Holler should know better.

I am not in 7, so I can’t vote for Behn, but I absolutely would if I could. But ultimately what I want is leftist representation with integrity. This makes me question her integrity, and I’ve never felt like this about her before. She‘s seemed like a bastion of integrity in the state legislature.

The options i see are:

- I am mistaken and this is somehow actually true
- Aftyn doesn’t understand math or voting? Seems very unlikely
- This is a cynical lie from her campaign to try and fearmonger people into voting

I hope it’s the first option, because the other two are both terrible.

I don't know if there was a misunderstanding or if this was intentional, but it's a bad look either way. I think @thetnholler.bsky.social and @aftynbehn.bsky.social should correct this on the record.

And if I'm somehow misunderstanding this, please tell me! I'm happy to retract.

I hope there’s a whole chapter on Nashville.
