Has there ever been such a useless PBO in the history of the office?

Seems like his whole MO was to gin up controversy through negligence and shitty comms

There have been a number of pieces challenging this Minister over small potatoes things and it really makes you fuckin wonder what the aim is. We could rationalize it by saying its just to drive clicks but I highly doubt that's all there is to it.

Even in a perfectly democratic society, being critical of your government and staying engaged would be the only way to stop it from being recaptured by special interests.

And frankly if I was leading the NDP I'd be looking to draw in some more left leaning folks into the race to.expand the audience and the coverage, which is what will ultimately benefit them financially and politically down the road

I'd be kinda surprised if more than 3 or 4 ppl raise the 100, it'll be a bland contest.

I think PP certainly wanted to win, he could taste victory and on his own terms no less.

That said, i don't know if he has the discipline to work on himself and make hard changes.

It's like making the finals and losing, its exhausting and only true champions grit it back out to compete again.

Good thing that military gear doesn't come with hefty emissions or this would really be embarrassing

When you fold quicker than Kier f*ckin Starmer you've really gotta ask yourself if you're cut out for this business

If we want to be politically conservative about this, I'm subsidizing their esthetic choice by paying the same taxes they do to pay for the disproportionate wear and tear on the roads.

And that's not even getting in to emissions, extra traffic, and personal injuries/deaths

Urban centres should require a business plate and charge a fee to those who want drive anything that isn't a sedan or minivan inside a city.

The number of trucks and SUVs that clearly haven't seen a real day's work is insane.

At best, they haul a tool bag, a lunch box, and an inflated ego.

You've got to treat your country like you treat yourself.

Accept some things as they are, but generally hold it to a higher standard and push for better.

People who do the opposite and whitewash their countries faults are the same people who go to the gym and only do bicep curls.

CUSMA 2.0 requires Canada to have all jokes vetted by US DHS.

They love it, though. Trump gives the cowardly press a soundbite/catchphrase, and they salivate at the opportunity to parrot it instead of growing a spine and describing reality.

Fact. If you tried to build sewage treatment systems now postmedia would spend every red cent trying to squash it.

A good Nanaimo bar is a banger, just like a good butter tart.

People fuckin either of them up with too much sugar are committing culinary crimes

IMO the government could afford to step in to help the people most impacted (bought at the peak, cant afford to refinance at current rates etc), and the net social good of increasing affordability and letting predatory investors sink would far exceed the cost of bailing out families who get hit.

Almost no homeowners who didn't drastically overextend themselves would be "underwater". The cost of an avg $150k correction from peak 2021-22 prices would be roughly equivalent to the down-payment. So if you bought at the peak you're losing money, but not owing more than the value of your house.
