Navigating cultural differences with family can definitely be tough. We have both Evangelical and Catholic family, so there's plenty of opportunities for frustration, but also for learning about other traditions. I'm lucky that everyone has been pretty understanding with each other over the years :)

Yep, I am-- Episcopalian. I grew up in a more Evangelical tradition though, so discovering the beauty and comfort in physical rituals like bowing, kneeling, making the sign of the cross, and praying with rosaries has been one of the great joys in my spiritual life :)

I have a blue butterfly Anglican rosary that was gifted to me a while back by someone who had no idea what significance it would have to me. It's very special 🙂

Jealous. I'm 21st. But I'm thinking SURELY if there are 70 people waiting already they'll wind up ordering more than one copy. I've seen that happen before.

4/4 I feel like since I started trying to work with my patterns, I've gotten more done and also--importantly!--spent less time beating myself up about not getting stuff done.

3/? I also try to notice my daily patterns and work with them. I can do more creative/organizational type thinking in the morning and late afternoon, but right after lunch I know I'm going to be better off with something more receptive or rote.

2/? - So I decided to just take a break from the books and lean hard into listening to the whole podcast series as if it were an audiobook-- multiple episodes a day. I may wind up taking a break before I'm done, but I'm taking advantage of that wave of enthusiasm.

1/? - When that happens to me, I try to notice my patterns and work with them. Like, I have a bunch of books I want to read but keep starting too many and stalling after a few chapters, but I also suddenly have tons of enthusiasm for this year-long daily podcast I've been wanting to listen to.
