Pines (Wayward Pines #1) by Blake Crouch

For the first three quarters of this book I was telling my wife how I just felt something was missing from the story that would pull me all the way in. The last quarter had it all and easily convinced me to continue with the series.

Faithbreaker (Fallen Gods #3) by Hannah Kaner

Waited months to finish this series, and it didn’t disappoint. Compelling and satisfying to the very end.

A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab

Decided to continue with another Schwab book when my wife recommended this series, and she bats 1.000 on flawed protagonists.

From the conservative Cato Institute, politically motivated violence is rare in the US, and excluding 9/11, right wing ideology has been the predominant motivation (Jan 1, 1975 to Sep 10, 2025)

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

I wasn’t sure how much I’d like this based on the description I was given, but I finished it in four days, ha. Really splendid, and found myself thinking of many memories throughout my life.

It really sucked to have to say goodbye to these characters. I was about to just stop reading so I never finished and could imagine my own ending. Maybe I should have 😭
