We learn about waves in the ocean - shallow water and deep water waves, forcings, restoring forces, refraction, dispersion, storms, swells, surf and of course tsunamis. Oceanographers worry about Kelvin and Rossby waves but wave forecasters worry about these waves.

Climate Variability is introduced here with orbital forcing, paleoclimate, El Niño, monsoon and feedbacks in the system including teleconnections. 45 podcasts so it’s a bit long since I wanted to be more detailed than the book which is a bit too brief.
Important stuff.

Chapter 10 of Dynamics of Atmosphere and Oceans is about Thermohaline Circulation. So heat/salt balances, stratification, heat transports & western boundary intensification with Taylor Columns. Wind-driven circulation is not independent but useful to treat it separately

Chapter 10 of Ocean-Atmosphere Dynamics teaches us about wind-driven circulation. Ekman dynamics, convergence, divergence, up/downwelling and Sverdrup transport, etc. But the most fun is to use Taylor Columns to understand western boundary intensification. No vorticity?

Chapter 9 is on ocean circulation which typically gets split into wind-driven and thermohaline circulation even though they are tightly coupled. Surface currents bear a close resemblance to winds but boundaries create the western boundary intensification. Coriolis effect
