Pah. Pah. Pah. Blooming ‘high street banks’ that are NOT on the high street and have, instead, random locations with even more random opening hours.

BECAUSE NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE DONE ONLINE.

#TinyJoys One of our garden rescue #hedgehogs, Tony, is in the summerhouse. He’s got a run, with enrichment activities, and is getting used to being out of an incubator. He will be released back into the garden (his territory) when the time is right. Enjoy his antics… I have loads of footage!

Almost none

Pretty much

So there’s no

The good news for Starmer is that if he does well in today’s task he might pick up a shield. Going to be a difficult round table tonight though, whatever.

And now I have to take on the DWP on behalf of my son as his Appointee. Give. Me. Strength.
Elderly carees in Yorkshire are giving me the runaround today. One fall, with follow up, a few Robust Emails… and now further issues re my mum’s safeguarding (her vulnerability is extreme) I have had to remind her Care Home of the contents of her DoLS. Honestly this has been a challenging day.

"There are soiled sheets, unvoiced fears, missed doses of morphine. The hard truth, in short, about underfunding palliative care is that people who are at their most vulnerable – the dying – suffer more pain, more indignity, less choice & less autonomy than they might have." Please read this piece:
"We would never tolerate a government that chose to defund 70% of neonatal services, gambling that charities would fill the gap. Yet this is exactly the situation for end-of-life care."

Please read my piece on the travesty of NHS palliative care underfunding 🙏

Morning all. Not the best start to Tuesday here. One of my elderly charges (in a care home in Yorkshire) had a (second time in a month) fall in the early hours. That means lots of follow up and chasing of Falls Team referral ahead for me today. #carer

Tony, the third hedgehog we rescued (had ringworm), has returned home. He’s overnighting in the summerhouse (in a crate with food and water), will be acclimatised to his surroundings and the aim is to release into the garden when there are a few dry nights & days forecast. #hedgehog #rescue
