One Piece is one of my oldest, most beloved fandoms. It’s grown with me, honestly. It’s the kind of show that starts simple with characters that are young and off on a new adventure and gradually grows more complex and intricate as time goes on, as they grow older too.

I know a fixation has taken hold completely when random songs on the radio make a whole montage of scenes from that piece of media run though my head. The lyrics mapping on to characters on my brain.

I’m trying to decide if this new resurgence of One Piece in my fandom life is enough oomph to get back into canon to catch up. It’s one of those pieces of media that is very long and fairly intricate with multiple storylines so it takes attention I haven’t had these last years.
