There was an issue that was around for years before Google finally updated the firmware to address it but it was an issue with phone calls dropping.

My 4a5g hasn't fallen to any Google battery update shenanigans yet! And I bought it after the 5 or 6 was out, lol.
I'd like to get a Sony Xperia again but their cellular modems suck for NA.
Next phone will have a headphone jack, even if I have to get something inexpensive to get it.

Friend of mine had to deal with all that after his dad passed. It sounded like a nightmare for many months to get things sorted. Having to prove identity and death. Hopefully it's not too bad for you!
