Not differential topology

Funny thing, it’s a different color than I remembered. This tree is dark purple with white lights. It must be the two-foot apartment-sized tree that was lavender.

The tree is assembled, [most of] the lights are on, and I’ve done a first round of branch fluffing. At least one bulb is out, so I have to find the spares and remember how to change one. I’ve learned not to put that off; otherwise I also have to remember how to change a light string fuse.

The receptionist went in the back to consult with someone and then came back and said I could be seen today after all. Thank heavens, because it would probably have been weeks if not months before they could get me rescheduled.
