It's also possible to update an existing sandbox to a preview build. Be aware that once this update is done, the sandbox will automatically be updated with every new preview version and if not possible it will be deleted.

🆕 Cancel a running update

Cancel a running update Running updates are canceled automatically if the update doesn't succeed before the end of the update window set for the environment. If you need to cancel an update before the end of the update window or an update that can run outside the environment's update window, you can do so manually. To cancel a running update, navigate to the Operation Details pane from the Environment Details or Operations page and select the Cancel update button next to the operation status. Canceling a running update stops the update process and restores the environment to its state immediately before the update started. Depending on the size of the environment database, this process might take more than an hour, during which the environment isn't accessible. Note Updates can't be canceled on environments that are in the Enforced Update Period for the source version of the environment update

5 The country/region is enabled in AppSource and the CSP pricelist, but before deployment you must submit a request to the Microsoft localization team. Deployment will be available in the next minor version after your request is processed.

Administrators can limit users' access to any particular environment by changing their permissions, or by removing users' access within that environment. Partners using the Partner Sandbox license on their partner tenants can purchase extra sandbox environments by increasing the number of Partner Sandbox user licenses on their tenant. Like regular Business Central licenses, the first five Partner Sandbox licenses grant one production environment and three sandbox environments on the tenant. Each extra five Partner Sandbox licenses automatically grant three more sandbox environments on the tenant.
