It's just extra frustrating because I was told the March of Dimes was better this time. They were changed and never would try to pigeon hole me into the set easy job for disabled people. Yet here we are again with WorkBC basically giving up on me for being too "hard" a client, just too complicated.

Autism and health issues doesn't mean I can't be a store manager. I shouldn't be asked can I really do a full time job ever because I have trouble standing long hours from radiation. Not being able to stand for 8 hours straight has not bearing on sitting jobs at all.

But that shouldn't mean I should get shorted and ignored just because I'm not an easy to solve client. I shouldn't be pushed into some stereotype job for disabled people just because it's easier for them to do. I shouldn't be questioned if I can do a job that literally is on my resume.

It's not my fault I have multiple disabilities. It's not my fault a previous employer chose to break the law and be petty over it. It's not my fault I have tried to achieve in low level jobs and am good at jobs with complex product knowledge. I understand they have large case loads.

I got the same push back from them about working in liquor too five years ago. Why wouldn't I be happy just being a grocery store cashier after all? Never mind I have had that job, hated it and it was bad for my health.

So it's really demoralizing to be asked why I am trying so hard to stay working in cannabis. I get it, it's really not for everyone. But I bet if I had one single interview from any other industries that they would be pushing even hard to give up cannabis retail.

So I've not found a permanent job all year, really been blown off by the agencies until recently. But the only industry I have gotten interviewed in and found any work in is cannabis. I have applied to over 100 jobs in other industries. Not one single speck of interest.

Let's remember that earlier this year, the Trump administration canceled 94 million pounds of aid that was supposed to go to food banks.

Soon after, the USDA abruptly ended its 27-year practice of collecting national data on hunger.

Again, there's nothing "accidental" about the suffering to come.
Trump Canceled 94 Million Pounds of Food Aid. Here’s What Never Arrived.
ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the millions of pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the administration’s cut...
