#Fishpassage at #hydropower plants is a reminder of what we can do when we integrate ecological restoration with infrastructure development. In order to sustainably achieve the #OurPowerOurPlanet goal of tripling renewables by 2030, we need to design #renewables that also protect #biodiversity.

Happy #EarthDay! 🐟🌎 We’re sharing here a few photos of our team volunteering in the Oakland hills. Restoring native species in the local #watershed —like removing barriers to fish migration—has benefits beyond a single location or species—it helps to support the larger life-sustaining #ecosystem.

Our #engineering team has developed proprietary simulation tools that allow us to accurately model #fishpassage survival as we create #turbine designs for specific plants, & in real-world studies, #FishSafe turbines have demonstrated 98-100% through-turbine survival for fish passing downstream.
