I'm fascinated by how involved Jared Polis was in the state's story — not just as an elected official, but as one of the millionaires who funded Colorado's blue shift.

Another key to the project's success, especially as a project in a blue state, is bipartisan support. Development company NorthPoint is based in Missouri, and has support among Rs – most importantly with House Transportation Committee Chair Sam Graves.

I’m dying because travel & leisure is so proud to have just discovered that taking the 1/101 up the California coast and then cutting over to the 5 at the border of Oregon and California is a great way to drive from LA to Seattle. #IYKYK
