10 years. I think about this episode a lot. In the years since, it's taught me so much about grief. The existential dread when you finish watching it, every single time.

The phrase "who is this for" has never been more accurately applied.
Of the many problems this show has, it can't make any of the obvious and necessary changes to make the books into a good TV adaptation, because the smallest alteration is now sacrilegious to the remaining people still invested in the HP fandom. Look at how they've reacted to the casting of Snape...

Chibnall definitely had the right idea of what to do with the show in his first season and the ratings support that. Sadly he just wasn't a strong enough episode writer to pull it off.
