I should probably get around to fitting the remote power button to the attic based officePC. My daily ritual until I do this is to pull the ladder down and climb into the attic each morning to power it on..

I really need to get back on with my game dev work today. I've done so many little tweaks for ages now but I need to get the bigger stuff done so I can start to upload demos and show this stuff off.

I want to be sociable but I'm too tired and as a result my brain is braining wrong. I'm tired of being tired all the time. I will get an early night tomorrow and fix this low point..perhaps the day after..

The server rack PC thing for the office PC is working :) No interference on the HDMI cable and I have keeb and mouse working on a single USB line. Zero fan fan noise, at least in here :)

Having a mildly hungover sunday. Had a few beers last night playing VRChat and ended up in a pub world with a few Brits talking about how crap our respective towns were. I think I was also tech support to multiple people at once - I should start saying I don't know rather than immediately helping.

I saw a Strawpage and wondered if Neocities was still a thing (it is). I love the smaller side of the web away from commerce and overly designed webpages. Bring back the sparkly gifs and autoplaying background music!

Bought another second hand Thinkpad from ebay. This one is even cleaner than the last one; good keyboard and it has a 90% good battery healkth which I never expect from random eBay listings

I had far too much fun playing RV There Yet last night. I channeled my inner Top Gear Special and kept quoting things like "Hammond you idiot!" every time the RV tipped over as we dragged it over rocks and up mountains. Brilliant game.

The gaming cafe was pretty good but it got a bit loud at the end when it filled with younger kids playing Roblox. I think I have what I can only describe as 'softplay' PTSD. My ears are still ringing

Took the family out to a gaming cafe near us. Kids are having a great time. The staff seed surprised that is adults wanted to go in and game too...that's like the whole reason for bringing the kids here, so we can game!

I made the mistake of putting a server cabinet in the attic to move it all from the front of the house. Yes it's quieter, out of the way...but it's in the cold attic and I cba climbing up and finding out why the proxmox/nextcloud instance went dead.

In case nobody told you lately, I'm proud of you. Look at everything you've been through and you're still here. You kept fighting when it felt impossible and look at you now! Sure, things aren't super easy now either. But you have a PERFECT track record in survival and that's so worth celebrating.
