(if businesses think I'm bad about how much I call them idiots online, the US government is at a whole other level. companies at least can mismanage themselves into bankruptcy, while the federal government primarily still (technically) functions because they can't.)

alright i maybe have been too cat centric and want to clarify: there are not enough creachers on bsky, period. i currently estimate that below 1% of posts are primarily about a little guy or small fella. its sick and its not sustainable.

i think a lot about how JSON, a format designed first and foremost to be human readable, became the de-facto standard for communication between machines, and then i think about all the wasted energy spent on bandwidth for field tags and string parsing calls
