On this Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos), Troublers gathered at Oakland Cemetary to support El Refugio in honoring the lives of those who died in ICE detention. On the altar were pictures and names of the 13 people who have died at Stewart Detention Center 💔
On the left is a stone mausoleum. Extending out from the stone are brightly colored multicolored and blue and white flags and yellow garlands. Below the flags and garland is a painted mural with birds escaping a cage and a green dragon with the words "Liberacion no detencion. Free them all!" and "Honoring lives lost in detention".
