I've been invited to participate in a group exhibition. A few of my photographs from the Beach Forest near Szczecin, will hang. I've also been asked to write few words about the set and this task is posing a substantial challenge.

This is the Neude in Utrecht. It spent decades in the late 20th century as a car park before being returned to the people and becoming a vibrant public square once again. Your city could do this too - it’s a political choice.

essential read. "Michael Bloomberg—hardly a technology skeptic—recently wrote of the sorry history of tech in education: “All the promised academic benefits of laptops in schools never materialized. Just the opposite: Student test scores have fallen to historic lows, as has college readiness.”"

I have never heard o Raymond Depardon until now. His photographs and his person, as per the video, speaks to me in a way, that makes me want to drop everything and spend the rest of my life photographing rural life. On film. I barely made it till the end.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Reading the Shining and watching the Evil Dead were formative experiences. I can't really call myself a big horror fan, but I can't wait to watch The Army of Darkness and Tucker and Dale vs evil with the next generation ghouls.

One might think that it's a no-brainer. The idea of granting any private corporation control over water sounds like a decent reason for humans to rise up and make a stand.
There are things that shouldn't be in private control, and water is one of them.

In East Maui, Hawaiʻi, a decision is pending on whether to grant a 30-year water license to a private Canadian company whose predecessors have a long history of devastating the ecosystem or give control to the county.
East Maui Water Fight Returns To State Land Board
The battle over who controls one of the island's major water sources — a foreign company or a county board — appears headed to a contested case hearing.
