I often find myself trying to find ways to excuse the behaviour, like villain/evil prey. When compared to real life digesting them is still very cruel, but in fictional settings it seems more reasonable, like cutting down cultists in D&D, for me at least.

Uploading my stories is bittersweet, I really enjoy getting my world and characters into words and sharing them. The engagement is very low though, which I manage my expectations of because they were written in an hour. I'm worried the more effort I put in, the more bitter it will taste.
