The thing about CrunchyRoll’s enshittification is that normally I’m a big proponent of supporting official channels but if the money from subscriptions isn’t being used to pay talent and labour and the quality suffers as a result, then morally what’s the purpose of supporting those official means?

When UsagiShade’s grooming allegations in 2016 came out with screenshots, I expressed to the team my concern that these allegations might hold truth, knowing the victim’s information lined up with Usagi’s past and personal details Grooming allegations: (link to burner account previously mentioned in the thread) Usagi retaliated by lying about his age to the whole team, stating he was also minor in 2016. However I know his birthday and year and he was 20 years old in 2016. I pinged him “we should talk” after this claim to which he replied “no. we wont” (Screenshot of a Discord message by Usagi: it's all BS. They said I was 20, in a DM feom 2016 saying I was assaulting someone. I was 17) Shortly after that I got booted from the mod team w/o warning. I hope the new team builds something from this, however they did not listen to my concerns when it came to listening to the community and making things right I have zero tolerance for adults who prey on young kids, or people who support hate crimes. And if you defend people like that you’re no better. I will not be expected to take a side just because I am friends with that person. I choose to always call out things that r wrong

Wimmie, an (as of today) ex-admin in the iiSU server, just made a thread on Twitter explaining that her attempts to voice her concerns about many of the issues surrounding Usagi were met with pushback, and eventually getting kicked off the team entirely.

We have history as friends. He has always been nice to me but somehow got himself in a lot of friend drama but I’d always take his side When the old screenshots were pulled up of his friend group and him being transphobic, racist, and overall problematic, I was shown interacting in that server but that was when I was newly invited, I did not interact after sending 2 msgs for greeting When these old screenshots were exposed, I felt uncomfortable and heavily voiced to the team I am against wiping community chat logs speaking out about it or censorship

The team private chat was downplaying the situation, collectively saying people were overreacting/it’s not a big deal/sensitive/etc. Team was also trying to do damage control for the mod “lileggroll” who posted the Nazi meme, grape meme, and made racist remarks as a part of Usagi’s old friend group he claimed to have left (Screenshot attached, see image #4) When I advocated for “lileggroll” to be booted as mod, my request was met with resistance. The team tried to offer damage control for her behavior while she herself did not seem remorseful at all. She left on her own terms and not by team’s decision (Screenshot attached, see image #3) Screenshot of a discord conversation in dev-chat Wimmie: Tbh, I read the response too late, it's bad😭. Heart to heart, I'm just blunt. Especially doesn't look genuine if you keep lil egg roll as mod still after all the claiming of cutting those people out, and then still keeping the nazi supporter lol. Even as a joke. Also Eddie... Nevermind, just take care. Usagi: Sigh, am I supposed to get rid of Lily?? Also there's no nazi supporter here. That guy doesn't exist in the server anymore. Wimmie: That's good. Usagi: @everyone This is the final statement I'll be making after everything that transpired. There's not much I can really say to fix or undo the damage done to iiSU and its integrity, and it seems like more false accusations and dated statements are beginning to pop up rapidly to defame my name even further. I first began UsagiShade as a fun side-project. Nothing crazy, just sharing my love for games and all the niche community projects that surround them. I found out I was very good at presenting my thoughts visually, and that was enough to fuel my ambitions and garner the status I managed to build from scratch. However, not everyone wants to see things work out that way. People have done everything they could to drain that passion out of me, and at this point I only value the safety of my wife and the life I managed to build here away from the malice I left behind so long ago. It seems like no matter where you go, there will be people doing everything they can to drag you back with them. This is no longer the community or the niche I came to know throughout my years of trying to be a part of something much larger than myself. I'm not going to continue apologizing for their sake, and I'm not gonna continue being a punching bag for a vocal minority that knows next to nothing about my life, creating any narrative they can to sour the notes even more than they already have been. This community, this project, this hobby, none of it has a place for me, and I sincerely don't belong here. I can handle the skeptics, the overly pessimistic crowd shutting down my ideas, that's expected. But my privacy, my character, and my dignity is something that I value much more than feeding people who feel entitled to my work and the effort I put behind it. Usagishade the head developer of iiSU isn't a good person. I know my words mean nothing without proper photo evidence. I was still a minor when we dated and was a victim of grooming. I was not the only victim, and sadly I don’t know how many will believe me. If people choose not to believe me then I can't help it. If you want to back a creator who has a history of manipulating and grooming minors, that's the risk. Eventually I’ll tear down this account. I’m just glad I came out. For me I was 17 and he was 20. I got pressured to send him stuff when we dated or he would cheat on me at the time. The other victim I posted was 14 and he was 21. People blurred in the photos told me they’d leave together and go back to her place often I mistyped. I was 16 and he was 20. I honestly don’t want to fight others to believe me or be more involved with him. If the truth is believed then good, if not I’m just glad I tried to get it out there.
