This comic serves as an update to some of what's been going on with me for the past few months :') it's been hard and the comic doesn't even cover everything that's happened, but drawing this as a little art therapy project helped me find some humor and levity in it all.

Big update on our situation:
In short, we've had to leave our apartment early and our move is delayed, but we still owe rent for August and need to pay before the lease ends next week on the 28th. More details below.

Text on image: Update: A serious pest issue hit our apartment building this month and has escalated to the point where as of a couple days ago we've essentially had to evacuate before our lease is up—we are staying with family for the time being and have to move our furniture and belongings out of the apartment asap. As a result our move is gonna be delayed for a bit, which is hard but does give me time to make up money for moving costs. However, as of now I still have not been able to pay rent for August and need to do so before our lease ends on the 28th. I've updated the ko-fi goal to reflect the new amount needed, which no longer includes moving costs. Thanks again to all those who have helped out thus far, I can't express how much it means 🙏 the nightmare is hopefully almost over

I hate to post this after no art in ages, but my student loans have drained the last of my savings and I will be short on rent for the last two months of my lease. I have started a goal on my ko-fi page, anything helps so much

The area I currently live in is convenient for me getting to work and for my sibling (who I currently support financially) getting to school, but it's expensive because of that—my pay can cover the rent and utilities, but pretty much only that. I saved up for other expenses before my sib and I moved here, and honestly I've been taking drastic measures to stretch it as far as possible, but between the loan payments and costs I couldn't have planned for the savings are all gone now. This monetary goal is to make up the amount I'll be short on rent and utilities for the next two months, as well as application fees, moving costs, etc. for getting settled in our next place (with cheaper rent). If you know me you know I feel super bad and embarrassed asking for help like this, and I know everyone is in a tough spot right now, but it's about all I can do at this point.
