Twitch finally admitted their anti-bot system is negatively impacting authentic view counts, alongside a bunch of other bizarre choices for what makes you count as a viewer. We were all right to complain.

These past few months my average viewership has dropped from 300+ to 150.

With the way my brain naturally functions, I don't have a healthy relationship with anything I perceive as work.

If I have a job, I will do that job at 100% of my abilities at all times.
If I need to heal, I'll literally obsessively try to heal faster (more yoga, more silence, more more more-)

Sometimes, never having a unique experience is amazing, because you end up with games like Wanderstop, where you get to watch a character get to the point of recovering, where they go "I can rest. I'm the best at resting. I'LL REST SO FAST-" and you just sit in silence for a while.

🧶 Big owlbear ami!

10"/25cm tall and crocheted from my own secret recipe I mean original design, it has crocheted "button" eyes, decorative visible mending, and is very huggable. Safe to wash/dry on delicate settings.

The owlbear ami is a light/cerulean blue, with off-white yarn used for the foot pads, chest piece, face mask, and wings. The off-white yarn is all brushed out by hand (a seriously boring and annoying process, but I love the results) to make the yarn look furry—it's very soft. Each foot and paw has three pointed claws in medium brown, and the same brown is used on the crocheted button eyes (which have white Xs on them) and beak. The owlbear ami has three patches on its body: a light brown one on its chest fluff, a darker brown one on its left thigh, and a light blue one on its back. Along the seam of its head/ears is visible mending in white thread (decorative), and the same white thread is used to make tiny Xs from the top of its mask down to it's bottom. Stuffed firmly with poly-fil and sewn with love and an average amount of swearing. Whew.

I've been thinking a lot about writing this opinion piece. Yes, Journey was a transformative experience that fundamentally changed how many of us saw the medium of videogames. But that doesn't mean we should compare all meditative indies to it.
